Midland GXT-850-VP4 Radios With Headsets and Charger

The Midland GXT-850 boasts an amazing 5 watts of power, allowing for a range of up to 26 miles in optimal conditions (typically 2 miles or less in urban conditions). The GXT-850 is designed with the hunter in mind, featuring a "Mossy Oak" color and silent operation feature.

The GXT-850VP4 is a full featured radio that includes everything you need! This value pack includes rechargeable batteries, a charger with AC wall and DC vehicle adapters, and a pair of headsets with microphones.

The GXT-850 is a waterproof radio, meeting JIS4 specifications. This is a significant advancement over other consumer radios! Most models are "weather resitant" which means they will take a light rain, but the GXT850 can be placed in a direct stream of water!

Also new with the GXT850 is a "group mode". If everyone in your group is using these radios, you can place the radios in "group mode" and assign a code to each radio. You are then able to make direct calls from one radio to another! No need to have everyone hear a message that is intended for just one person. In addition, when you receive a "direct call", the receiving GXT-850 will display the "caller id number" of the transmitting radio!

The GXT-850 is also a weather radio, supporting both the NOAA weather channels and NOAA weather alerts. If severe weather is entering your area, the GXT850VP4 can pro-actively alert you! Hands-free operation (with 9 sensitivity levels) is supported by the GXT-850-VP4, and the hands-free feature is made simpler by the headsets included with this value pack! Other features include a vibrating alert, selectable high, medium and low power modes, and channel scan. This model also offers 5 bonus call alerts, for a total of 10. The 5 new call alerts feature animal sounds: duck, crow, turkey, cougar, and wolf. A 3 year warranty is also provided by the manufacturer on this model.

The Midland GXT-850 two way radio supports all 22 FRS and GMRS channels with 142 privacy codes per channel.
